Hello!! There is a problem with a link (Heavy Tapper) which the correct translation into Spanish is: "Resinera pesada" and not "Grifo pesado" so my question is ... Can this link be modified so that it appears correctly in Spanish? since the current one ("es:Grifo_Pesado") is in the English link and other editors are creating it because that is how it was put in the beginning. It can be verified with the page of (Tapper) whose translation is (Resinera). if so, to edit the translations that my fellow editors have already made so that the links lead to a correct page. Hello Viruz PoP! The problem is that the bad translation appears in-game, so the wiki has to call it "Grifo pesado". The correct thing to do is make a note on the page about the bad translation, and report it on the Official forums. I have been banned due to the following reason: (Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "CjIsHooked") apparently I have been banned from wiki-english. Also, you translated an entire page into Spanish on the English wiki. You should create the page in Spanish, and translate it here. Hi again AJMB! The page Ayuda:Edición links to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Wikitext, but the page doesn't exist in Spanish. I don't know why, but perhaps you could create a wikipedia account and translate that page there. Then Ayuda:Edición could link directly to the Spanish language version. Other than that, I don't think the Stardew Valley wiki needs pages specifically devoted to editing, other than Ayuda:Edición, since so many pages exist on wikipedia and mediawiki about syntax and markup. Main page

Hello again margot bean. By chance I was reviewing the main page of the stardew valley wiki... I realized that in the section where all the locations come (The Farm, The Valley etc.) no location of Ginger Island is included, but yes all other locations are. This are my questions: Isn't it a good idea to also add the Ginger Island locations to the main page? Or is there some reason that I don't know why it isn't implemented? Or maybe it's not a good idea? no se si estare poniendo esto bien, pero xq te empeñas en poner mal la cantidad de dias de las misiones? yo hice varias correcciones por las misiones que fui pidiendo en pc en la ultima version y vos vivis cambiando todo y poniendo todo mal

la mision Ingredientes insulares dura 21 dias, no 28 o al menos dura 21 actualmente, vi varias que dicen 28 tambien y son de 21, y varias que dicen 14 y son de 12 dias, yo no se si antes era el numero que vos pones o en consola sera diferente, en cuyo caso deberian editar toda la pagina para modificar con respecto a consolas y pc, pero si en consola es igual que en pc entonces deberias empezar a verificar los datos xq trato de ayudar actualizando y aca viven borrando mis colaboraciones y poniendo lo que se les ocurre

The time may vary, depending on when you accept the quest, and when it becomes available in the random list of quests. This should be explained in the paragraphs above the table.

You should add the legendary fish II if you have room, and not if you don't have room. Put them on the list of "things that would be nice" but not "necessary". ok?

Templates related to Skills

Hello NachoComposer! Thanks for your question. Are you referring to the Skills subpages (Agricultura/Habilidad, Minería/Habilidad, Recolección/Habilidad, Pesca/Habilidad y Combate/Habilidad)? If so, it's fine to update them based on the English pages (en:Farming/Skill, en:Mining/Skill, en:Foraging/Skill, en:Fishing/Skill, and en:Combat/Skill). (Please please, yes, update them!!) If not, then I'm not sure which template you mean. The subpages I listed above aren't really templates, and you can translate and update them as you think best.

If you would like to change the formatting, that's different, I would like to see a demonstration or mockup in your user space (e.g., a page called "User:NachoComposer/Sandbox/SkillsPages") before you would make changes to the format. I don't think that's what you're talking about, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

I made a similar page myself many years ago, but never implented it, because I don't think it was an improvement over the current format: (en:User:Margotbean/Sandbox/SkillsTables).

Heading changes and questions

Hello again, MargotBean! I must admit that it was me who changed a heading, I did it to match a more Spanish translation, I apologise if it caused any problems! 😶‍🌫️

This is why I am writing to you, is it possible to see which pages are linked to a specific heading, and if so, how?

I don't want to repeat the same situation with different headers without updating them myself, thank you very much and I apologise again in advance! We are working and mostly learning on the Wiki. <3

Well, now I feel bad... There is no easy way for you to check if a page links to a heading. You have to click "Lo que enlaza aquí" (in the left sidebar) and pick through dozens (perhaps hundreds) of results, open each page listed, click "Edit" ("Modificar"??), Ctrl+F to search for "#SectionName" and see if you find it. For me, I can type "#SectionName", click a button, and quickly get a list of everything that links to the section heading. I can also replace the links just as easily. So, it wasn't fair for me to joke about it. I'm truly sorry! You're doing so much work in updating the wiki, I appreciate it immensely, and I want you to learn and have fun without my interference.

I'm really not checking most of your edits, for the same reason (I want you to be able to learn and have fun). So, in the future, just leave a comment here if you change a heading, and I can use Admin tools to adjust any pages that need it.

As a side note, I dislike underscores _ in links, because I have to remember to search twice (once for the section name without underscores and once with underscores), and I never remember. 🙃 I also dislike html codes for accented characters, for the same reason. For example, if I search for "Tótem_de_viaje#Montañas", then I also have to remember to search for "Tótem_de_viaje#Montañas". And to search for it with and without underscores (that's 4 searches). So, I do change those kinds of edits if I see them. It makes my life easier later on. 😁

So, to sum up, you're doing amazing work and I'm truly grateful!! Just leave a comment here if you change a sub-heading, and I'll take care of it. 👍

I'm writing to you here as I don't know where else to write to you, and I don't want to create an unnecessary section. But thanks for all the changes you make! It helps me to correct and have better practices when editing the Wiki, please keep doing it! We all help each other and learn to make the Wiki a better place.

I also ask you to find out more best practices to contribute and take into account when editing. Leaving this issue aside, I have other concerns regarding the Modding page. I've taken a look at it and noticed that there are a lot of missing pages and missing sections!, do you think I should take some time working on this page alone, with its missing sections, or would you rather I focus on the missing pages of the Main Page and then get into Modding properly?

I am writing to let you know that I will be changing some sub-headings on the MercaJoja page. Leaving aside this issue, I am happy and proud to note that the front page of the Wiki has been updated. Hello!!

I want to report two (good!) things. First I want to announce that I am about to finish all the main sections of the main page. I just have to finish the Island section and all that goes with it. I plan after finishing this to move to the villagers pages one by one to update them. (Now that I notice, on the front page where it says "Beyond the Valley" in English it says "Más allá el valle", when the translation is "Más allá del Valle") 😉

The other point to report is that I will change some sub-headings on the Caverna Calavera page, (well, remove them, as they are not as sub-headings in the English Wiki, but are marked with bold) Some names may suffer some minor changes.

I'm also writing to thank you for the work you've been doing lately. I know how tedious and tiring it can be, so I'm also asking if you need help with some pages to update them or make minor changes. You know you can count on me! 🤭

I was looking back at changes I made for my current project "replace all arrays" (since they are going to break sometime in the near future), and I found changes I made last September. Don't be scared by the title, I don't know if you've noticed my decreasing activity in the Recent Changes. This is due to entering my last year of high school, and a few other little things.

I'll be editing what villager pages I can over the next week, as I'm fortunately leaving quite a bit earlier (midday). But when the normal schedule starts I'll limit myself to short pages or during my free time outside of studies.

I love editing on the Wiki, you've seen it for 1 month and some weeks. It's a voluntary responsibility that I like to take on, I don't know what I would have done during my long summer holidays! 😶‍🌫️

I want you to know that I'll still be hanging around these parts, let me know if there's anything going on in discussions or elsewhere (I have Discord if you wanna talk to me)! I'll be reading and responding to you as soon as possible.
