Si pierdes toda la salud en las minas, caerás inconsciente y te despertarás en la entrada, posiblemente encontrado por alguno de los aldeanos que vive cerca. Uno de los problemas de esto es que «olvidarás» algunos de los niveles más recientes que hayas descubierto. Generalmente, perderás entre 5 y 11 niveles, lo que significa que los ascensores a esos niveles no serán accesibles hasta que vuelvas a descubrirlos. De vez en cuando llegarás a un nivel que está lleno de [[Baba|babas]] o una mezcla de monstruos. A diferencia de los niveles normales, no hay rocas y las paredes y el suelo están cubiertos con una baba verde en vez de encontrarte el estilo típico de la sección en la que te encuentres. Es posible encontrar artículos recolectables, como cuarzo o setas. Para poder pasar el nivel debes derrotar todos los monstruos del nivel, incluyendo [[Cavadorín|cavadorines]] que pueden estar escondidos en trozos de tierra suelta. Al derrotar al último monstruo aparecerá una escalera donde murió el último monstruo o al lado de la entrada (saldrá un mensaje diciendo «Ha aparecido un camino hacia abajo»)
También puedes usar unas [[Escalera|escaleras fabricadas]] para escapar de un nivel infestado
En un mismo día, el nivel infestado estará siempre en el mismo nivel e irá ascendiendo de nivel al día siguiente. Por ejemplo, si un nivel infestado se encuentra en el nivel 54 un día, estará en el 53 al día siguiente, en el 52 al siguiente, etc. Puede ser que algún día no te encuentres un nivel infestado por caer en un nivel que no puede estar infestado. Esto incluye los niveles con ascensor o tesoro, los primeros 5, los últimos 10 y el decimonoveno nivel de cada sección. Pueden existir varios niveles infestados a la vez, generalmente separados por 20 o más niveles
