En un día soleado de verano, visita la playa cuando Alex se encuentre allí.

Detalles 
Verás a Alex jugando con su balón, él te saluda y te lo lanza, pero fallas al atraparlo. Él se ríe y te indica que fue un buen intento. Él continua y te comenta que está seguro de que se convertirá en el primer jugador profesional de gridball del Valle Stardew. Te preguntará cuáles crees que son sus probabilidades.
  • "¡Confío en ti!" (No afecta la amistad.) Alex te agradecerá y recordará lo que dijiste.
  • "Vaya, eres realmente arrogante." (No afecta la amistad.) Alex dirá que estas un poco celoso, y se va.

Detalles 
Alex está al lado de la casa del perro, cerca de su casa. Él esta hablando con el perro, cuyo nombre se revela como Dusty. Él comenta que tanto él como el perro han pasado por mucho, y que lo hace sentir incomprendido. Sales de detrás del Saloon, y Alex pregunta si escuchaste algo de lo que dijo.
  • "Si, escuché todo." (No afecta la amistad.)
  • "No realmente... ¿por qué?" (No afecta la amistad.)

De cualquier manera, dice que la razón por la que vive con sus abuelos es por su padre. Su padre era un alcohólico y abusaba verbalmente de Alex, llamándolo "inútil". Un día su padre se fue, y poco después su madre se enfermó y falleció. Alex continúa diciendo que no debe detenerse en ello y no necesita simpatía. Tratando de aclarar el estado de ánimo, Alex te ofrece la oportunidad de ver lo que Dusty hará por un filete asado.

Alex se encuentra en la playa llorando. Te acercarás a él y te sentarás a su lado. Él te contará que es el doceavo aniversario de la muerte de su madre, se lamenta de no haber podido agradecerle por cuidarlo cuando era un niño y que el único recuerdo que le queda de su madre es su caja de música. Alex la abre y deja que la música suene para los dos. Mientras la música suena, tienes una visión de la madre de Alex acurrucando en sus brazos felizmente a un Alex bebé. Mientras la música se desvanece, te pregunta qué es lo que estás pensando.
  • "Honra la memoria de tu madre haciendo siempre lo mejor." (No afecta la amistad.) Alex está de acuerdo y dice que por eso está trabajando tan duro para ser un profesional jugador de gridball.
  • "No deberías vivir en el pasado." (No afecta la amistad.)

Alex te enviará una carta para encontrarte con él en el salón después del atardecer. Después de recibir la carta, entra en el salón entre las 7pm y las 10pm.

Alex reserva un cuarto privado para su cena. Gus toca el violín para ustedes y Emily les trae la comida.

Sí tu personaje es mujer, Alex confiesa que se enamoró de ti desde la primera vez que se vieron, y aunque sus aplastamientos en el pasado se desvanecieron rápidamente, sus sentimientos por ti crecieron. Sí tu personaje es hombre, Alex confiesa que se ha sentido atraído por ti desde que los dos se conocieron por primera vez; Aunque al principio negó estos sentimientos, ahora ha decidido seguir su corazón.

  • "Yo siento lo mismo." (No afecta la amistad.) Alex está feliz porque los dos pudieron finalmente admitir sus sentimientos el uno al otro. Él felizmente acaba su bistec. Dusty de repente salta por la ventana, salivando por el olor a comida.

Visita la playa en un día lluvioso para encontrar al Old Mariner. Hábla con el Marinero para comprar el Mermaid's Pendant por data-sort-value="5000">Gold.png5000o. Luego de darle el colgante a Alex, éste lo acpetará y acordarán el matrimonio. La boda se llevará a cabo luego de tres días, sin importar la estación.

Una vez casado, Alex se mudará a la farmhouse. Al igual que otros candidatos para el marriage, él agregará su propia habitación al lado de la habitación. También preparará su zona de ejercicio detrás de la granja donde irá a levantar pesas algunas veces.

Comportamiento

Luego del matrimonio, Alex te ayudará ocasionalmente de las siguientes formas.

1. Preocupándose de tares de la granja:
