Para identificar a los cangrejos de roca, tienes que mirar las rocas que no tengan sombra, a veces se encuentran junto a otras rocas, como también están en las zonas de arena (ellos no toman la forma de [[Minería#Picar piedras de minerales|piedras de minerales]]).
El cangrejo de roca solo puede ser dañado si está en movimiento, y no dentro de su roca (caparazón). Puedes atacar un cangrejo de roca que no se mueve con tu [[Herramientas#Picos|pico]], para hacer que se mueva de nuevo. Atacar al cangrejo de roca varias veces con tu [[Herramientas#Picos|pico]], hará que se rompa su caparazón (la roca). Alternativamente, poner una [[Bomba|bomba]] cerca a un cangrejo de roca, hará que también se rompa su caparazón.
